IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, standards, professional and educational activities.
MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch was formed in the year 2023. It is dedicated to serving the purpose of helping its members to enrich their technical knowledge and expertise.

Activities in Academic Year 2022-23
MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch conducted a one-week crash course on web development using React. The aim of the course was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of building dynamic web applications using the React library. Students built their own web applications and learned from experienced instructors. The course was an excellent opportunity for students who wanted to expand their web development skills and learn one of the most popular and in-demand front-end development frameworks.
MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch organized a one-week crash course on Application Development using Android. The course was designed to provide students with a practical understanding of the basics of application development and how to build Android apps from scratch. This course provided a great opportunity for students interested in mobile application development to expand their skills and knowledge.
Activities in Academic Year 2023-24
The MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch organized a two-day hands-on session dedicated to IoT. On the first day, Dr. Pranav Chippalkatti led a comprehensive session covering the fundamentals of IoT. This included practical, hands-on training where students actively engaged with an Arduino Uno board through the Arduino IDE.
The second day featured additional enriching activities, with expert-led sessions focusing on advanced IoT applications. Students explored real-world case studies, honed their skills in IoT programming, and participated in collaborative projects. The two-day event provided a holistic learning experience, empowering students to apply their knowledge in the rapidly evolving landscape of Internet of Things technology.
MES Senior College, in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, and IEEE Pune Section, organized a two-day BootCamp on IoT. The BootCamp was inaugurated by Dr. Surekha Deshmukh, Chair IEEE Pune Section, and Dr. Rajashree Jain, Chair Sensors Council Chapter, IEEE Pune Section. Dr. Surekha Deshmukh shared her views on the application of IoT in various fields and its use in day-to-day life. During the day, faculty members from different colleges performed various tasks and programs on Arduino kits.
