National Cadet Corps rank ceremony
- The NCC conducts rank ceremonies to recognize and reward the cadets for their hard work, dedication, and achievements.
- The rank ceremony recognizes and appreciates the efforts and achievements of the cadets in various activities such as drill, shooting, adventure sports, social service, and community development.
- The rank ceremony motivates and encourages the cadets to continue their good work and strive for excellence in their future endeavors.
- The rank ceremony emphasizes the importance of leadership development and instills the qualities of leadership, teamwork, and discipline in the cadets.
Combined Annual Training Camp
Combined Annual Training camp organized for a one week to the NCC cadet with the following objectives:
- The main focus of this camp is to develop personality of cadets and get a glimpse of military environment.
- This camp is a compulsory camp conducted for all the cadets every year.
- These camps are held within the state under the aegis of respective NCC Directorates.
- A training camp provides an opportunity for participants to develop their skills and knowledge in a particular area. This can include training on new equipment, techniques, or procedures, or workshops.
Activities in Academic Year 2022-23
Cadets of the MES Senior College, 2nd Maharashtra Girls Battalion, participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) held at NCC HEADQUARTERS Pune. The camp was conducted from 23rd December to 30th December 2022 and is considered compulsory for all cadets every year. These camps are organized within the state under the aegis of respective NCC Directorates, with the main focus being the development of cadets' personalities and exposure to the military environment. A total of 15 cadets from our battalion participated in CATC.
During the camp, cadets engaged in various activities, and our College battalion was the runner-up in the Tug of War competition held. Cadets Nikita Adare and Radha Rajguru from our battalion won the 1st prize in the Biometric competition.
The award for Best Camp Senior and Best Piloting was secured by our battalion's Senior Under Officer Pranita More. Additionally, two cadets were selected for GV MAVLANKAR, a firing camp.
The Maharashtra Education Society (MES) marked a poignant and patriotic occasion as it celebrated Kargil Diwas with great enthusiasm and reverence. This solemn event took place at MES premises in Pune and witnessed the participation of Bhave High School, Renuka Swaroop School, and MES Senior College. The celebration aimed to pay homage to the indomitable spirit, courage, and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought valiantly in Operation Vijay during the Kargil War.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Brigadier Hemant Mahajan and Colonel Parag Modak, both of whom were invited as chief guests. Their distinguished military backgrounds added a significant aura of authenticity and respect to the occasion. Their insightful speeches and motivational words resonated deeply with the audience, emphasizing the importance of honoring the brave souls who selflessly defended the nation's sovereignty.
The formal NCC rank ceremony of the MES’ Senior College for the academic year 2022-23 was held on 17th December, 2022 in the presence of Dr. Santosh Deshpande, Director, IMCC Dr. Manasi Bhate, Deputy Director, IMCC, Dr. Ravikant Zirmite, Head, IMCC and trainer and guide of NCC cadets Ms. Reshma Patil.
NCC Rank ceremony started with a welcome and preface of guest of honour by Dr. Neha Kurhade, NCC, Caretaker Officer.
Dr. Ravindra Vaidya, Principal, MES’ Senior College felicitated Dr. Santosh Deshpande, Director, IMCC; Dr. Manasi Bhate, Deputy Director, IMCC and Dr. Ravikant Zirmite.
Dr. Poonam Rawat, Program Coordinator, MES’ Senior College felicitated Ms. Reshma Patil.
After welcome and felicitation the cadets were promoted by Rank with the hands of Dr. Santosh Deshpande and Dr. Manasi Bhate.
Dr. Santosh Deshpande sir addressed all the students after rank promotion. Sir has explained the importance of NCC, how NCC helps to live with discipline. He focuses on the physical activities in NCC cultivate the habits of doing exercise regularly. The NCC training provides opportunities and motivates youths, improves life skills, character building & traits of good personality. He also expresses his proud feeling towards NCC girl cadets for their achievements and motivates the students to join NCC.
