MES Senior College in association with ‘Kirloskar Vasundhara’ Initiative has been organizing programs for building awareness to initiate actions to conserve environment, wildlife and promote cleanliness.
Swach Bharat Abhiyan
‘Nirmalya Collection’ Project enables devotees to recycle their votive offerings. Under Kirloskar Vasundhara’s activities, ‘Green College Clean College’ (GCCC) Competition was organized, GCCC volunteers i.e. Eco Rangers from our Senior College did a fantastic jobs at Nirmalya Collection Activity and we aim to continue the same.
Plastic Collection Activity
Awareness about single use plastic and its hazards needs to me created among the young citizens. Our student volunteers spoke with fellow students and educated them about the different categories of plastic and their ill effects on nature. They also suggested them the ways of segregating this plastic
MES Senior College has pledged to be an eco-friendly, green, plastic free campus from and in this light this activity will be periodically conducted through our students.
Collection drive for collecting single use plastic and other plastic items was conducted. A collection centre was allocated for this. All the collected plastic was handed over at SAGAR MITRA collection box in BSM School, Kothrud
Tree Plantation
To save the environment and beautify our Mother Earth trees should be conserved and planted more and more. College initiates tree plantation activity each year in the rainy season to make students aware of their responsibility to contribute to the beautification of Earth and make it a greener planet.
