On January 16, 2024, TYBBA and TYBBA-IB students from MES Senior College visited Shree Warana Sahakari Dudh Utpadack Prakriva Sangh Ltd in Kolhapur. The dairy processing plant showcased the fascinating journey of milk from farm to table. Students gained insights into the dairy industry, witnessing the processing and packaging of dairy products. This collaboration brings together the educational expertise of MES Senior College and the entrepreneurial assistance provided by deAsra Foundation. Together, we aim to empower individuals offering holistic guidance for starting, managing, and growing successful business ventures.

Shri. Sunil Deodhar, Founder of My Home India, graced the occasion of National Youth Day, commemorating Swami Vivekananda’s Jayanti and Raj Mata Jijau. In his insightful speech, he delved into the profound teachings of Swami Vivekananda and shed light on the rich history of India, paying tribute to the inspiring legacy of Raj Mata Jijau. A celebration of wisdom, heritage, and the enduring spirit of the nation.

MES Senior College, in collaboration with Cosmos Bank, organized an Essay and Street Play Competition for students on account of National Youth Day. The students exhibited remarkable enthusiasm and creativity, actively participating in these intellectually stimulating events.

On Khel Urjja Day 2 at MES Senior College, the Interclass Carrom Tournament showcased impressive performances with 43 men and 10 women participants. The winners include Anuj Deshpande, Yash Sharma, and Rohit Gijare in men’s singles, and Dnyaneshwari Bankar, Radhika Jadhav, and Harshada Jadhav in women’s singles. Notable victories in doubles were secured by teams SYBBA, TYBBA-IB, and TYBBA-CA. The Mix Doubles category winners were TYBBA-CA’s Dnyaneshwari Bankar & Jay Kale.

MES Senior College, commenced with its annual sports event Khel Urjja 2024 on the first day, January 8th, 2024, with an engaging Interclass Chess Tournament that witnessed an impressive turnout of enthusiastic students. The deserving winners of this strategic battle were Om Bokariya from SYBBA securing the 1st position, and Shivanurag Jamdar from FYBBA-CA claiming the 2nd spot. Both participants exhibited commendable strategic prowess and admirable sportsmanship.

MES Senior College celebrated the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule in the MES Senior College library on Wednesday, 3rd January 2024. The MES Senior College Library organized a display showcasing Savitribai Jyotirao Phule’s contributions. Through this program, students learned about Savitribai Phule’s early life and her significant role in society and women’s empowerment. Faculty members & Students visited the library and reflected upon her ideologies.

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, MES Senior College, National Service Scheme (NSS) unit organized an activity to foster awareness and solidarity in the fight against AIDS.
Students actively participated in this activity by taking a pledge and subsequently leaving their signatures on a poster.

On the occasion of Constitution Day MES SENIOR COLLEGE National Service Scheme (NSS) unit conducted a program: which consisted of informative discussion on important aspects of the Constitution, a general awareness quiz about the Constitution and collective recitation of the Preamble of the Constitution.

सर्वसामान्य मराठी कुटुंबांमध्ये शिक्षण नोकरी आणि लग्न अशा सरधोपट मार्गाने जीवन जगले जाते. शिक्षण हे बहुतांश वेळा नोकरी मिळवण्यासाठीच घेतले जाते. उद्योग करण्यासाठी म्हणून शिक्षण फार कमी वेळा घेतले जाते, त्यामुळे आपल्याकडे नोकरदार निर्माण होतात. प्रत्येकामध्ये उद्योग करण्याची क्षमता असते परंतु आपण नोकरीच्या मागे धावत राहतो त्याऐवजी तरुणांनी स्वतःमधील उद्योजक शोधला पाहिजे, असे मत आद्या ज्वेलर्स स्टार्टअपच्या संचालक सायली मराठे यांनी व्यक्त केले.
मएसो सिनियर कॉलेजच्या आंत्रप्रेन्यूअर डेव्हलपमेंट सेल आणि डिक्की (DICCI) नेक्स्ट जेन यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने उद्यमी संवाद – कथा उद्योगाची, प्रवास उद्योजकांचा कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. सर्वेश देशपांडे यांनी सायली मराठे यांची मुलाखत घेतली, यावेळी सायली मराठे यांनी ज्वेलरी डिझाईनमध्ये असणाऱ्या संधी आणि त्या संदर्भात तरुणांनी कशाप्रकारे शिक्षण घेतले पाहिजे या संदर्भात विद्यार्थ्यांना मार्गदर्शन केले.

सायली मराठे म्हणाल्या, नोकरी आणि उद्योगांचे एकमेकांचे अनेक फायदे आणि तोटे असतात, परंतु नोकरी करताना ठराविक प्रमाणातच तुमची आर्थिक प्रगती होऊ शकते. उद्योग करताना अनेक अडचणी येऊ शकतात, परंतु आर्थिक प्रगती किती करायची हे पूर्णतः तुमच्यावर अवलंबून आहे. त्यामुळे सध्या तरुणांमध्ये उद्योग करण्याकडे भर दिसून येत आहे. उद्योजकांकडे सध्या ग्लॅमर म्हणून पाहिले जात असले तरी उद्योग करताना येणाऱ्या अडचणींचा अभ्यास तरुणांनी केला पाहिजे. केवळ स्टार्टअपचे फॅड म्हणून उद्योग सुरू करण्यापेक्षा आपली मानसिकता आणि गरज ओळखून तरुणांनी उद्योग क्षेत्रामध्ये पाऊल ठेवले पाहिजे तरच खऱ्या अर्थाने तरुणांना उद्योगांमध्ये यश प्राप्त करता येईल.
कॉलेजमधून पदवी घेतल्यानंतर कोणत्या प्रकारचा व्यवसाय सुरू करावा, या संदर्भात अनेक तरुणांना योग्य माहिती नसते. त्यांना त्या प्रकारचे शिक्षणही मिळालेले नसते अशावेळी तरुणांनी प्रथम काही वर्ष आपल्या आवडत्या क्षेत्रामध्ये नोकरी करावी, त्यामधील अनेक तांत्रिक गोष्टी समजून घ्याव्यात आणि त्यांचा नंतर आपल्या उद्योग क्षेत्रामध्ये उपयोग करून घ्यावा असा सल्लाही सायली मराठे यांनी यावेळी दिला.

The MES Senior College, in collaboration with the Poornam Ecovision Foundation, hosted an Guest Lecture on Environmental Awareness on October 15, 2023. The guest speaker for the event was Mrs. Archana Kalyani, a renowned faculty member specializing in Environmental Chemistry at Bharati Vidyapeeth Environment Education and Research. The lecture provided a platform for students to gain valuable insights into the pressing environmental issues and the importance of sustainable practices, inspiring a heightened sense of environmental responsibility and awareness among the students.

MES Senior College, Money Minders- The finance club hosted an guest lecture on “Career Dynamics in Cooperative Banks” Mr. Nikhil Argade, the Branch Manager of Saraswat Cooperative Bank in Pune. Was the guest lecturer, Mr. Argade’s extensive knowledge and experience illuminated the intricate workings of cooperative banks, providing valuable insights into career opportunities within this sector. The event left attendees with a deeper understanding of the financial industry and the various career paths available, inspiring students to consider rewarding roles in cooperative banking

MES Senior College, Pune organized a Parents Meet on October 14, 2023, for First Year BBA, BBA-IB, and BBA-CA students. During the meet, the class coordinators and Principal had the opportunity to engage with the parents, fostering a valuable connection between the college and the parents of the students. MES Senior College, Mercatus- The Marketing Club Organized Guest Lecture on Promotion Strategy on 14th October 2023. Mr. Kaustubh Purohit, the Director of Numen eSports and Gaming, was the distinguished guest speaker.
He Delivered an insightful lecture on Promotion Strategy. His presentation shed light on the dynamic world of marketing , emphasizing the importance of tailored strategies to engage audiences effectively. Mr. Purohit’s expertise provided students with valuable insights into the nuances of promotion strategy, highlighting its role in building brand recognition and fostering community engagement.

MES Senior College – Performing Arts Club organized, “A Jamming Noon” – a musical & instrumental program on 13.10.2023.
Music Composer & Singer – Shri Nikhil Mahamuni inaugurated , “The Performing Arts Club”.
After the students’ performances, Shri Nikhil Mahamuni Sir also performed a beautiful song involving all the audience. He motivated the students for their musical journey.

MES Senior College – “International Business Club” & “NextGen HR Club” organized a guest lecture on , “International HRM” for International business and HR specialization students. The lecture was followed by a Question & Answer session. The guest speaker, Mr. Shekhar Kamble (General Manager-Human Resources, Tata Consultancy Services, Ltd.) delivered a wonderful lecture by giving many examples. He answered all the queries of students patiently and enriched them with in-depth knowledge.

The MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch organized a two-day hands-on session on IoT. The first day session was conducted by Dr. Pranav Chippalkatti, during which students were trained in the fundamentals of IoT. Additionally, a practical, hands-on session was conducted where students interacted with an Arduino Uno board through the Arduino IDE.

On 24th September and 1st October 2023 the NSS Unit of MES Senior College organized a Clay Sludge Collection Activity in collaboration with Punarāvartan. This eco-friendly initiative aimed to address the issue of clay sludge waste while promoting environmental sustainability. Students and volunteers actively participated in collecting and managing clay sludge from various sources, contributing to a cleaner and greener community.

MES Senior College organized college level Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Project and Poster Competition ‘Avishkar’ on Saturday, 30th September 2023. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their research and creative ideas. This competition emphasized the importance of research in education and motivated students to excel further.

मयेसो सिनिअर कॉलेज पुणे च्या राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना एकक वतीने यंदा प्रथमतःच गणेशोत्सव व्याख्यानमालेचे आयोजन करण्यात आले. अनेकविध विषयांची मांडणी करून त्याद्वारे वैचारिक प्रबोधनास वातावरणनिर्मिती करणे या उद्देशाने या व्याख्यानमालेचे आयोजन दिनांक २५ व २६ सप्टेंबर २०२३ रोजी करण्यात आले.

छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या शिवराज्याभिषेकाला ३५० वर्षे पूर्ण झालेली असल्यामुळे व्याख्यानमालेचा मुख्य आशय शिवराज्याभिषेक ठरवण्यात आला. याच अनुषंगाने छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांची व्यवस्थापन कौशल्ये व शिवराज्याभिषेक या दोन व्याख्यानांची प्रस्तुती निमंत्रित इतिहास जाणकारांकडून करण्यात आली. वक्त्यांचे अभ्यासपूर्ण विवेचन व श्रोत्यांच्या उस्फुर्त प्रतिसादामुळे व्याख्यानमालेचे आयोजन सफल झाले.

व्याख्यानमालेचे पहिले व्याख्यान शिवाजी महाराजांची व्यवस्थापन कौशल्ये या विषयावर आयोजित करण्यात आले होते. कार्यक्रमाचे वक्ते श्री. सारंग भोईरकर व श्री. सारंग मांडके यांनी गोष्ट येथे संपत नाही या कथाकथनाद्वारे शिवाजी महाराजांचे युद्धनीती शास्त्र, संरचनात्मक मांडणी, आर्थिक नियोजन, गुणग्राहकता व दूरदृष्टी याबद्दल अतिशय विस्तृत माहिती दिली.
अनेक ऐतिहासिक प्रसंगांना या वेळेस उजाळा देण्यात आला तसेच अफजलखान वध या प्रसंगामधून शिवाजी महाराजांची व्यवस्थापन कौशल्ये किती अचूक व प्रभावी होती हे श्रोत्यांना ऐतिहासिक दाखल्यांमधून समजावून सांगितले.

व्याख्यानमालेचे दुसरे व्याख्यान सुधीर थोरात (कार्यवाह, श्री शिवाजी रायगड स्मारक मंडळ, पुणे) यांचे शिवराज्याभिषेक आणि त्याचे दूरगामी परिणाम या विषयावर झाले.
सुधीर थोरात म्हणाले, छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज यांनी निर्माण केलेल्या स्वराज्यामुळे त्यांच्या मृत्यूनंतरही मराठा सरदार हे औरंगजेबाशी निकराने लढू शकले. त्यांनी औरंगजेबाशी लढा दिल्यामुळे इतर हिंदुस्थानामध्ये हिंदू साम्राज्य निर्माण होण्यास मदत झाली. छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांनी केवळ स्वराज्य निर्माण केले नाही तर हिंदूंना संरक्षण दिले त्यातून हिंदू संस्कृती कशाप्रकारे विकसित होऊ शकेल यासाठी ही प्रयत्न केले.
छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या काळाचा अत्यंत बारकाईने तरुणांनी अभ्यास करणे गरजेचे आहे. त्यांच्या केवळ युद्धनीतीचा नव्हे तर व्यवस्थापन कौशल्य, भाषाशास्त्र या विविध अंगांचा अभ्यास केल्यास तरुणांना आजच्या काळामध्ये हिंदू समाजासोबत आणि त्यांच्या वैयक्तिक आयुष्यामध्ये येणाऱ्या समस्यांना कशा प्रकारे तोंड देणे गरजेचे आहे याचे धडे घेता येतील, त्यामुळे छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज आणि त्यांनी निर्माण केलेल्या स्वराज्याचा अभ्यास हा आजच्या प्रत्येक तरुणांनी करणे गरजेचे आहे, असेही सुधीर थोरात यांनी यावेळी सांगितले.

MES Senior College in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and Pune City Zonal Sports Committee (PCZSC) organized Intercollegiate
Swimming and Diving (Men & Women) , Water Polo (Men) Competition on 16th September 2023 at Tilak Tank, Deccan Gymkhana.

MES Senior College, NSS unit celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day by sharing Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech from September 11, 1893, delivered at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago. This speech, often referred to as his “Chicago Address,” emphasized the unity of all religions and the importance of tolerance and acceptance.
