The MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch organized the “Git Going: A GitHub Workshop for Beginners” on August 26th, 2023. The workshop, was conducted by Mr. Atharva Ikhar, an Associate Software Engineer at thinkbridge, provided an excellent opportunity for students to grasp the essentials of GitHub & gave the students an insight on collaborative software development.

In a jubilant celebration, MES Senior College marked its 4th foundation day, reflecting on its remarkable journey since inception. The event was a vibrant blend of academic achievements, cultural performances, and inspirational speeches. Faculty, students, and staff joined hands to commemorate the college’s growth and contributions to education. The foundation day underscored the institution’s commitment to excellence and its unwavering dedication to shaping future leaders. The festive atmosphere resonated with pride, fostering a stronger sense of unity and purpose within the college community.
On World Yoga Day, a special Yoga Mantra session was organized exclusively for the faculty members of MES Senior College, promoting wellness and stress management among the esteemed educators. The serene ambience of the college provided the perfect backdrop for this rejuvenating event. Led by experienced yoga instructors, the faculty members gathered in a dedicated space, eager to immerse themselves in the practice of yoga. The session commenced with gentle warm-up exercises, gradually transitioning into a series of yoga postures and breathing techniques. As the participants synchronized their movements with their breath, a sense of calmness and tranquility enveloped the room. The instructors guided the faculty through various meditative practices, allowing them to explore inner peace and rejuvenation. This Yoga Mantra event served as a platform for the faculty members to prioritize self-care and find balance amidst their demanding roles as educators. It empowered them with practical tools to manage stress, enhance their physical well-being, and promote a holistic approach to education.

The MES Senior College HR Club recently organized a guest session on “Formulation of HR policies and their implementation in organizations” by Shri. Gaurav Ambedkar, a renowned HR expert and consultant. The session was attended by the HR Specialization students who were interested in learning more about HR practices and trends.
The session was informative and engaging, with Mr. Ambedkar sharing his insights and experiences on various aspects of HR policies, such as recruitment, training, performance management, compensation, and benefits. He emphasized the importance of aligning HR policies with the overall business strategy and culture of the organization, as well as the need for flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances and stakeholder expectations.
The students were given opportunity to interact with Mr. Ambedkar and ask questions about specific HR scenarios and challenges they had faced or anticipated. He provided practical advice and solutions based on best practices and industry benchmarks, as well as his own experiences working with diverse organizations across sectors.
Overall, the guest session on “Formulation of HR policies and their implementation in organizations” by Shri. Gaurav Ambedkar was a great learning and networking opportunity for all participants. A session was conducted on current trends in business taxation by CA Pranav Mantri.It was aimed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the current tax trends and regulations in the business world. He discussed about Form 16, Income from Salary, Income from House Property which gave a comprehensive understanding of the latest tax trends. The session helped students with valuable insights into the current tax regulations in the business world.
