The MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch organized the “Git Going: A GitHub Workshop for Beginners” on August 26th, 2023. The workshop, was conducted by Mr. Atharva Ikhar, an Associate Software Engineer at thinkbridge, provided an excellent opportunity for students to grasp the essentials of GitHub & gave the students an insight on collaborative software development.

During the inaugural day of the Anti Ragging Week at MES Senior College, the Student Development Committee successfully organized a thought-provoking poster presentation session. Students enthusiastically participated in sharing their creative and impactful posters, advocating against ragging and promoting a safe and inclusive environment. The event served as a powerful platform to raise awareness and foster a sense of responsibility among the student body. Through engaging visual displays and informative content, the session marked a significant step towards eradicating ragging and fostering a culture of respect and empathy within the college community.
MES Senior College recently entered into a promising partnership by signing an MoU with Media Vidya. This collaboration entails exciting opportunities for MES Senior College students, including internships and specialized digital marketing courses offered by Media Vidya’s Industry Expert. This strategic alliance aims to enhance students’ practical skills and knowledge in the field of digital marketing, fostering a dynamic learning environment at MES Senior College.

In a jubilant celebration, MES Senior College marked its 4th foundation day, reflecting on its remarkable journey since inception. The event was a vibrant blend of academic achievements, cultural performances, and inspirational speeches. Faculty, students, and staff joined hands to commemorate the college’s growth and contributions to education. The foundation day underscored the institution’s commitment to excellence and its unwavering dedication to shaping future leaders. The festive atmosphere resonated with pride, fostering a stronger sense of unity and purpose within the college community.

Mr. Pushkar Aurangabadkar, the Director at Milastic Education, graced Day 3 of the MES Senior College Induction as a guest speaker. With his expertise, he provided valuable insights on the impact of social media and the importance of money management. Through practical and relatable examples, he effectively conveyed the significance of responsible social media usage and financial planning. His session not only educated the students but also empowered them to make informed decisions in the digital age. Mr. Aurangabadkar’s guidance left a lasting impression, equipping the students with essential life skills for their future endeavors.
Mr. Bhaktiprasad Deshmane, an esteemed Coach and Corporate Trainer, was the honored guest on Day 2 of the MES Senior College Induction. Adding an interactive touch to the event, he led engaging game sessions that not only captivated the students but also imparted valuable lessons in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. His unique approach to learning through games left a positive impact, making the induction day both enjoyable and insightful. Through his involvement, Mr. Deshmane contributed to fostering a dynamic and holistic learning experience for the college newcomers.
Mr. Ekalavya Malhotra, an engagement manager at Upohan Management Consultants, graced the occasion of the MES Senior College induction day 1 program. His presence added an aura of professionalism and experience to the event. As a seasoned professional in the consulting industry, Mr. Malhotra shared valuable insights and anecdotes, inspiring the new students to embark on their academic journey with enthusiasm and determination. His engaging address highlighted the importance of education, leadership, and holistic development. The students were fortunate to have such an accomplished individual kickstart their college experience, setting a positive tone for their years ahead and maintaining connection, contact with batchmates.

On World Yoga Day, a special Yoga Mantra session was organized exclusively for the faculty members of MES Senior College, promoting wellness and stress management among the esteemed educators. The serene ambience of the college provided the perfect backdrop for this rejuvenating event. Led by experienced yoga instructors, the faculty members gathered in a dedicated space, eager to immerse themselves in the practice of yoga. The session commenced with gentle warm-up exercises, gradually transitioning into a series of yoga postures and breathing techniques. As the participants synchronized their movements with their breath, a sense of calmness and tranquility enveloped the room. The instructors guided the faculty through various meditative practices, allowing them to explore inner peace and rejuvenation. This Yoga Mantra event served as a platform for the faculty members to prioritize self-care and find balance amidst their demanding roles as educators. It empowered them with practical tools to manage stress, enhance their physical well-being, and promote a holistic approach to education.

Omkar Mahajan (SYBBA) won the Runner up prize in "Snap Battle" - a Mobile Photography competition held on 16th May 2023 in an Intercollegiate event "ZING 2023" organized by S B Patil Institute of Management.

The Course Completion and Certification Ceremony for the one-week crash course on Web Development using React and App Development using Android was held with great enthusiasm and success. The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Shri. Abhijit Khurape, Secretary IEEE, Pune Section, and Shri. Kailas Bhakade and Shri. Aniruddha Gohad, who served as the Guests of Honor.

MES Senior College IEEE Student Branch has organized a one-week crash course on Application Development using Android. The course is designed to provide students with a practical understanding of the basics of application development and how to build Android apps from scratch. This course is a great opportunity for students interested in mobile application development to expand their skills and knowledge.

 

MES Senior College, Pune has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seva Sahayog Foundation to collaborate on social development initiatives for the underprivileged sections of society.
Under the MOU, MES Senior College will support Seva Sahayog Foundation's ongoing programs in education, health, and livelihoods. The two organizations will also work together on joint research projects, student volunteering programs and design various campaigns to raise awareness of social issues.
We believe that this partnership will have a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged communities and provide valuable learning opportunities for our students and faculty. It is a privilege to join hands with Seva Sahayog Foundation and contribute towards society.

 

The MES Senior College HR Club recently organized a guest session on “Formulation of HR policies and their implementation in organizations” by Shri. Gaurav Ambedkar, a renowned HR expert and consultant. The session was attended by the HR Specialization students who were interested in learning more about HR practices and trends.

The session was informative and engaging, with Mr. Ambedkar sharing his insights and experiences on various aspects of HR policies, such as recruitment, training, performance management, compensation, and benefits. He emphasized the importance of aligning HR policies with the overall business strategy and culture of the organization, as well as the need for flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances and stakeholder expectations.

The students were given opportunity to interact with Mr. Ambedkar and ask questions about specific HR scenarios and challenges they had faced or anticipated. He provided practical advice and solutions based on best practices and industry benchmarks, as well as his own experiences working with diverse organizations across sectors.

Overall, the guest session on “Formulation of HR policies and their implementation in organizations” by Shri. Gaurav Ambedkar was a great learning and networking opportunity for all participants. A session was conducted on Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) on Tuesday, 25th April 2023 by Mr. Pramod Harishchandra More (Consultant & Advisor – SCM), Mr More covered a range of topics related to the software solutions that help companies manage their transportation and warehouse operations. He also covered emerging trends and technologies in TMS and WMS, such as the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve supply chain operations.Overall, the session on TMS and WMS provided students with valuable insights into how these software solutions can help companies manage their transportation and warehouse operations more effectively.

 

A session was conducted on current trends in business taxation by CA Pranav Mantri.It was aimed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the current tax trends and regulations in the business world. He discussed about Form 16, Income from Salary, Income from House Property which gave a comprehensive understanding of the latest tax trends. The session helped students with valuable insights into the current tax regulations in the business world.
